Though the leadership level in the wine industry may be small statistically, they have an incumbent role to play in the wine industry’s sustainable success. Their leadership filters down to all levels to influence and manage wine industry wellbeing. These factors include physical, mental, social and also financial dynamics and with their astute understanding of ethical behaviour and its positive impact, the actions that follow will contribute significantly to the transformation involved in the wine chain.
This management system will integrate strong management principles with the ethical realities and possibilities for a successful outcome across the full supply chain and build leadership and management skills through facilitated sessions, coaching, consulting support and electronic tools available to ensure sustainable transformations by integrating their understanding into all the processes and in-depth procedures that support it. The goal of the ELP programme is to equip the various leadership levels with insights and skills to incrementally move towards successfully leading and managing their people and environments towards sustained ethical and social cohesive success, contributing to financial stability

What is coaching and what is the value and impact in this programme?
Coaching is a safe thinking space to stimulate and empower the person being coached to find their own solutions and actions to their challenges and opportunities as a leader. A coach is deliberately not part of the work environmental order to stay objective and comes with expertise in coaching whilst the person being coached is the expert in their own environment and the solutions and next steps lie within them. The coaching process allows for the way forward to be identified and actioned by the person or group being coached
G – what are the goals you wish to achieve on the farm/workplace?
R – what realities are at play that could assist or block achieving the goals that will need to be addressed?
O – Options speak to what and how these realities need to be prioritised, addressed and achieved
W – which steps and actions must be taken to move towards the goals?
*Coaching is farm specific only
